No worries about getting close to the action in the car at Avalon Beach in 1935. Rather than carry a marquee-style tent to the beach just for the day, some families chose a ‘lean-to’ and one side of the family car to create a sun shelter.

Good evening , we have not long moved into the area and live in Edwin Ave , I came across a photo of Bert Cowell , the local mobile Green Grocer in the 40,s who lived in Edwin Ave , was enquiring if there would be a few photos of what Edwin Ave used to look like over many years , and how it has changed , our house was built around 1935 and we love living in Avalon ,
